Experience

I have held two previous tutoring positions outside of helping friends on a regular basis with their papers and with math. 2013 I was a part of the writing center tutoring staff at North Greenville University. My responsibility was to help history majors in the College of Humanities and all students in the College of Christian Studies with formatting their papers according to the latest style guide of Turabian. 2009-2011 I was a part of the National Honor Society at Charleston County School of the Arts, and I volunteered for the tutoring program, trying to make myself available every time a tutoring session was offered. I helped students in math, French, chemistry, grammar, and formatting papers according to the latest style guide of MLA. ACT Score: 25. On the math portion, I made a 33. For the SAT math portion I made a 610. AP Statistics - 5 AP Calculus AB - 5 I want to tutor because I enjoy getting to meet the needs of the students academically and help them in a way that they can understand the material and boost their self-confidence. In my previous experience, I have been told by cooperating teachers that I am good at explaining the material, walking the students through the steps, and then watching them take over from there. Every time I tutored, my clients left with a boost of self-confidence. Classes: All math levels in high school up through AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics High School French 1-4, College French 3-4 New Testament Greek 1-5 in College, Greek Syntax and Exegesis in Seminary College - Principles of Theological Research and Writing

Hobbies

I like to read, sing, and learn. I am an online seminary student, and I am enjoying my classes as I prepare for my future career goal as a minister. As a requirement for that degree, I have to read. As I went through my college years, I learned to love reading, especially in dealing with my major. With regard to singing, I have been singing since I was 3 years old, and I went to an arts school in Charleston, SC for middle and high school and received my high school diploma with a concentration in vocal music. I was an active participant in the Charleston All County Choir from 2008-2011. I was also an active participant in the South Carolina Music Educator's Association All-State Choir in Rock Hill, SC from 2009-2011, singing under Dr. Z. Randall Stroope, Dr. Paul Head, and Dr. Anton Armstrong.
