Experience
I am Barbara and I am 40 years old. I live in Columbia, the capital of South Carolina, USA. I am native Italian and I have lived in Tuscany for 39 years of my life: mine is a very Tuscan-Italian background. I moved to the US in November of 2014. I can be your private tutor for Italian Language lessons. I can also teach you Latin Literature. The high school that I attended was the Liceo Classico where, with big interest, I approached the Greek Literature and the Latin Literature. In Italy I was a Self Employed Entreprenuer: I run a destination weddings and events planning agency for 10 years, so I can teach you also weddings &events planning organization skills. I taught Italian as private tutor to children (middle school ages) for several years when I was a student. I also taught English to Italian adults. Now I am tutoring adults with Italian lessons.

Hobbies
My interests are "Reading" and "Cooking". I make regular visit to Italy, where my parents and my relatives live. My connection with Italy is... a daily connection, texting and talking with my big family! I also organize regular visits for American visitors to my Country and especially to my fantastic region: Tuscany. I am long experienced with this because I was an event & wedding planner in Italy for 10 years. I know the secret corners of my Country and I can give you the best tips! I have a relaxed approach to tutoring and have proved that this achieves the best results. I put my students at their ease realizing that sometimes learners can have a diffident and shy approach to Modern Foreign Languages learning. But I insist with this: “It is better to talk in Italian with some errors… than not speaking at all, waiting for the perfection!”. Italians love people visiting their country and they will put all their effort to talk with you, to understand you and to welcome you. Last but not least: use your hands when you talk in Italian, they will really help and increase your vocabulary.
